Faulty items are any product that we supply to you which do not conform to the contract. The following are not classed as faulty items:

Unfortunately we do not currently offer a while you wait service. Our returns are handled on a queued system. To avoid unnecessary delays please always ensure you have a valid RMA before returning goods. If returning items to us for any reason (e.g. if you have cancelled the contract under the Distance Selling Regulations or you think they are faulty) you should:

1x Premier Remote Keypad (LCD)

This keypad incorporates a proximity reader for simplified setting and unsetting of the system by presenting a valid token. Each system user would carry a unique key ring style token for operating the system in line with PD6662:2004 & DD243:2004 Clause 6.4.5 PD6662 Grade 3 Compliant Environmental class 2.

3x Proximity Keyfobs

1x 12V tamper proof power supply with a Premier Remote Expansion module built in, including backup battery

1x Surface magnetic contact which is a reed switch and magnet. The switch is normally fitted into the door frame and the magnet is fitted into the door. When both are aligned the switch is closed. PD6662 grade 2 compliant. Environmental class 2.

1x Spyder siesmic detector. A unit which can detect a heavy vibration on something it is fixed to. This is normally a window, door or wall. 1x Prestige QD dual tech detector. A detector which has 2 sensors fitted within it. A passive infra red sensor detects changes in infra heat and a microwave sensor detects movement. 5x Prestige QD is a quad passive infra red detector which has two sensors fitted within it. For the detector to trigger both sensors must detect a change of infra-red within a set time period. The Odyssey is a sounder and strobe housed in a polycarbonate box and is usually fitted at high level at the most prominent position of the premises. The sounder is protected by tamper switches and self activating circuitry, in the event it is tampered with it will operate. If the sounder activates it will sound for 15 minutes (to conform with relevant standards and noise pollution act) and then switch off. The alarm system will then re-arm itself. PTC (resettable fuse) technology utilizes a unique Lead-Free polymer-based, Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) material to protect electrical circuits from over-current conditions. During normal operation, numerous carbon paths within the polymer allow the device to conduct electricity. As current through the PTC (resettable fuse) reaches its rated threshold, the polymer material begins to heat causing the polymer to expand. The resulting expansion breaks the carbon chains to reduce the current through the circuit to a small leakage current. The increased resistance in the resettable fuse works to protect circuitry by limiting potentially damaging current. When the fault (overcurrent) is removed from the circuit, the PTC (resettable fuse) will reset itself thereby allowing current to flow through the circuit again.

Galaxy RSS is an advanced, high performance software program that allows the Galaxy range of control panels to be remotely and/or locally serviced via a Personal Computer (PC).

A Galaxy RSS translator program is available which allows the text viewed on the Galaxy Gold screens and menus to be customised to the user or company requirements. (THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE LISTING)

Once installed on the PC, Galaxy RSS allows complete remote servicing of Galaxy control panels that have a Galaxy Telecom Module (E062), ISDN Module (A211), RS232 Module (E054) and serial modem or Ethernet Module (E080) installed. The level of control achieved is identical to that of an on-site keypad. This ability to remotely service sites is augmented by the facility to copy programming data from a remote Galaxy control panel to the PC and, if required, this information can be used to overwrite the Galaxy control panel.

The off-line programming facility allows the copied site data to be viewed and modified using the PC, enabling Galaxy site programming data to be created and stored in advance of overwriting the required remote Galaxy site.

Alternatively, the PC can be connected directly to a single Galaxy control panel, via a Galaxy RS232 Interface Module, and used to locally service the site.

Galaxy RSS can operate as a stand-alone package or in conjunction with Event Monitoring software. When combined with Event Monitoring, the details stored in the Galaxy RSS database are used by Event Monitoring to display comprehensive site information and provide the operator with detailed action instructions.

Description

The Scantronic 9651 is a fully programmable 8 zone security panel, designed to offer maximum flexibility and ease of use. It is ideal for domestic installations as it offers exceptional value for money.

The 9651 has simple ABCD setting options, offering full and part-set options. Up to 4 keypads can be added to the system, allowing easy operation from any location in the home using 4 digit codes. When using a 9943 keypad, the 9651 can be easily set and unset using a proximity tag without the need to remember the access code.

The system can be connected to a speech dialler or plug-by communicator via a wire-in communications output. In addition, the system allows for flexibility in configuration, as it has three fully programmable outputs.

The 9651 has a 250 event log, which is date and time stamped to comply with ABI (Association of British Insurers) requirements
